Background Field

At its June 27, 2017 Regular meeting, the City Council, pursuant to the bylaws of the League of California Cities (LOCC), appointed Mayor Harvey as the voting delegate and Council member Skillman as first alternate and Council member Moore as second alternate, who would vote on conference resolutions at the 2017 LOCC Annual Business meeting.

The LOCC annual business meeting is scheduled for Friday afternoon, September 15, at 12:30 pm in Sacramento.  At that meeting, the League will consider resolutions outlined in the attached packet. The LOCC encourages each city council to consider the resolutions and to determine a city position so that its voting delegate can represent his/her city’s position on each resolution.

Financial Considerations

Environmental Issues

The action of providing direction to the LOCC voting delegate does not constitute a project as defined by California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines Section 15378; therefore, no further environmental review is required.

It is recommended that the City Council provide direction to the voting delegate and alternates for the annual League of California Cities business meeting on Friday, September 15, 2017.
