Background Field

The City of Cotati has one (1) delinquent account that may necessitate collection through levying of assessment to the property rolls. The Administrative Services department has invoiced the property owner for their sewer charges every 2 months at the same time as all other water/sewer customers in the City.  However, the sewer bill has not yet been paid.

On August 8, 2017, the City Council set August 22, 2017 as the date of the public hearing.

Adoption of the attached resolution will result in the County Assessor assessing the listed properties, in the amounts listed, for outstanding sewer charges from Fiscal Year 2016-17.

Financial Considerations

The costs of sewer services are expected to be paid by the assessment.

Environmental Issues

It is recommended that the City Council receive all oral and written protests to the amount of fiscal year 2016-2017 sewer charges and adopt a resolution approving the itemized report of sewer charges and penalties outstanding and directing levying of assessment for fiscal year 2017-2018.
