Councilmember Landman has made his focus the development of stronger representation for Cotati throughout the county. Towards this end, he served on the Water Advisory Committee from 2009 to 2013, where he worked to help keep water costs from rising and to bring beneficial groundwater recharge projects to Cotati's Laguna De Santa Rosa headwaters. Mark previously has also served as Chamber of Commerce Liaison, Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) representative, ABAG Regional Planning Committee member, and as a founding board member of the Cotati Arts Project. Councilmember Landman currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Sonoma Clean Power. He is a Director on the Board of the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA), as well as the Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Authority (SCRCPA). In 2015, Councilmember Landman was elected by members of the Sonoma County Mayor's and Counilmembers Association to a second four-year term as a commissioner on the Sonoma Local Area Formation Commission (LAFCO).
